随便

suíbiàn

1. adverb as one pleases; feel free (fully open permission)

   你随便看。

   Nǐ suíbiàn kàn.

   Feel free to look around.

2. adjective casual; careless

   他说话很随便。

   Tā shuōhuà hěn suíbiàn.

   He speaks quite casually.

3. correlative conjunction no matter (followed by a question word)

   随便你怎么说，我都不去。

   Suíbiàn nǐ zěnme shuō, wǒ dōu bù qù.

   No matter what you say, I'm not going.

4. idiom anything is fine; no preference (fixed reply when asked for one's choice)

   咱们晚上吃什么？ - 我随便，听你的。

   "Zánmen wǎnshang chī shénme?" "Wǒ suíbiàn, tīng nǐ de."

   "What shall we eat tonight?" "Anything is fine with me, up to you."
