1. adverb then; as soon as (written equivalent of 就)

   他一到家便开始做饭。

   Tā yī dào jiā biàn kāishǐ zuòfàn.

   As soon as he got home, he started cooking.

2. adjective convenient

   这里交通很便利。

   Zhèlǐ jiāotōng hěn biànlì.

   Transportation here is very convenient.

3. correlative conjunction in 即便: even if (concessive)

   即便遇到困难，我们也不能放弃。

   Jíbiàn yùdào kùnnan, wǒmen yě bùnéng fàngqì.

   Even if we encounter difficulties, we cannot give up.

4. noun excrement and urine (大便, 小便)

   医生让他去化验大便。

   Yīshēng ràng tā qù huàyàn dàbiàn.

   The doctor asked him to have a stool test.

1. adjective cheap (in 便宜)

   这家店的水果很便宜。

   Zhè jiā diàn de shuǐguǒ hěn piányi.

   The fruit at this shop is cheap.
