suàn

  1. verb to calculate; to work out

    你算算一共多少钱。

    Nǐ suànsuan yīgòng duōshǎo qián.

    Work out how much it is altogether.

  2. verb to count as; to regard as

    今天这顿饭算我的。

    Jīntiān zhè dùn fàn suàn wǒ de.

    This meal is on me.
