可见

kějiàn

1. verb visible; can be seen (可- prefix word)

   山顶上白雪清晰可见。

   Shāndǐng shàng báixuě qīngxī kějiàn.

   The snow on the mountaintop is clearly visible.

2. correlative conjunction it is thus evident that; this shows (draws an inference from evidence)

   他进步这么快，可见背后下了不少功夫。

   Tā jìnbù zhème kuài, kějiàn bèihòu xià le bùshǎo gōngfu.

   He has improved so fast — clearly he has put in a lot of work behind the scenes.
