不但(bùdàn) — meaning, uses and examples

1. correlative conjunction not only (used in the first clause, usually paired with 而且, 还 or 也)

   他不但会说汉语，而且写得很好。

   Tā bùdàn huì shuō Hànyǔ, érqiě xiě de hěn hǎo.

   Not only can he speak Chinese, he also writes it well.
