还是

háishi

1. correlative conjunction or (connecting options in a question)

   你喝茶还是咖啡？

   Nǐ hē chá háishi kāfēi?

   Tea or coffee?

2. adverb still; as before

   十年过去了，他还是老样子。

   Shí nián guòqù le, tā háishi lǎo yàngzi.

   Ten years on, he is still the same.

3. adverb had better; after all (considered choice or suggestion)

   你还是去吧。

   Nǐ háishi qù ba.

   You had better go after all.
