guāng

  1. adverb only; just (colloquial)

    光说不做可不行。

    Guāng shuō bù zuò kě bù xíng.

    All talk and no action won't do.

  2. noun light; brightness

    屋里的光太暗了。

    Wū lǐ de guāng tài àn le.

    The light in the room is too dim.

  3. adjective used up; nothing left (colloquial)

    饭都被吃光了。

    Fàn dōu bèi chī guāng le.

    The food was all eaten up.

  4. adjective smooth

    大理石地面很光。

    Dàlǐshí dìmiàn hěn guāng.

    The marble floor is very smooth.
