1. adverb also; too (both clauses hold — coordinate/progressive)

   她喜欢音乐，也喜欢摄影。

   Tā xǐhuan yīnyuè, yě xǐhuan shèyǐng.

   She likes music, and photography too.

2. adverb particle-like softening or concessive tone

   这样也好。

   Zhèyàng yě hǎo.

   That works too, I suppose.
