bùguò

1. correlative conjunction but; however (milder than 但是)

   东西不错，不过有点贵。

   Dōngxi bùcuò, bùguò yǒudiǎn guì.

   It's good, but a bit expensive.

2. adverb only; merely (playing something down)

   他不过是个孩子。

   Tā bùguò shì ge háizi.

   He is only a child.

3. particle used after adjectives in 再…不过了: couldn't be more ...

   这再好不过了。

   Zhè zài hǎo bùguò le.

   Nothing could be better.
