下去

xiàqu

1. verb to go down (away from the speaker); also a directional complement

   他走下去了。

   Tā zǒu xiàqu le.

   He walked on down.

2. verb complement (extended): to continue

   我们要把这件事坚持下去。

   Wǒmen yào bǎ zhè jiàn shì jiānchí xiàqu.

   We must keep this going.
