fēi

1. adverb simply must (with 不可/不行)

   这场比赛我非赢不可。

   Zhè chǎng bǐsài wǒ fēi yíng bùkě.

   I absolutely must win this match.

2. prefix non-, un- (as in 非会员, 非正式)

   非会员不能进入。

   Fēi huìyuán bù néng jìnrù.

   Non-members may not enter.

3. verb to not be (classical/written, opposite of 是)

   实情非你所想的那样。
