过去

guòqu

1. verb to go over (away from the speaker); also a directional complement

   把书送过去。

   Bǎ shū sòng guòqu.

   Take the book over.

2. noun the past; former times

   过去这里是一片农田。

   Guòqù zhèlǐ shì yī piàn nóngtián.

   This used to be farmland.
