超

chāo

1. verb to surpass; to exceed

   他的成绩超了我十分。

   Tā de chéngjì chāo le wǒ shí fēn.

   His score beat mine by ten points.

2. prefix super-, ultra-, beyond

   我去超市买点东西。

   Wǒ qù chāoshì mǎi diǎn dōngxi.

3. adverb super; extremely (colloquial intensifier, like 非常)
