zǒu

  1. verb to walk

    他走到我的面前。

    Tā zǒu dào wǒ de miànqián.

    He walked up to me.

  2. verb to leave

    时间不早了,我该走了。

    Shíjiān bù zǎo le, wǒ gāi zǒu le.

    It's getting late — I should go.

  3. verb directional complement: away; off

    他拿走了我的手机。

    Tā ná zǒu le wǒ de shǒujī.

    He took my phone away.

  4. verb (of a machine) to run; to move

    我的表不走了。

    Wǒ de biǎo bù zǒu le.

    My watch has stopped.
