  1. pronoun certain; some

    Mǒu rén gěi nǐ dǎ guò diànhuà.

    Someone called you.

  2. pronoun I (self-reference after one's surname, classical)

    张某一定全力以赴。

    Zhāng mǒu yīdìng quánlì yǐ fù.

    I, Zhang, will certainly spare no effort.

  3. pronoun so-and-so (after a surname or title, withholding the name)

    李某因违规行为受到了处罚。

    Lǐ mǒu yīn wéiguī xíngwéi shòudào le chǔfá.

    A certain Mr. Li was punished for non-compliance.
