kuài

1. adjective fast; quick

   他跑得很快。

   Tā pǎo de hěn kuài.

   He runs fast.

2. adverb soon; about to

   快十二点了，睡吧。

   Kuài shí'èr diǎn le, shuì ba.

   It's almost twelve — go to sleep.

3. adjective sharp (of a blade)

   这把刀很快。

   Zhè bǎ dāo hěn kuài.

   This knife is very sharp.

4. adjective happy; pleased
