好像

hǎoxiàng

1. adverb to seem; seemingly (tentative judgment)

   他好像感冒了。

   Tā hǎoxiàng gǎnmào le.

   He seems to have caught a cold.

2. verb to be like; as if

   老师好像妈妈一样关心我们。

   Lǎoshī hǎoxiàng māma yīyàng guānxīn wǒmen.

   The teacher cares for us like a mother.
