只是

zhǐshì

1. correlative conjunction it's just that (mild contrast; often a polite reservation)

   方案很好，只是费用太高。

   Fāng'àn hěn hǎo, zhǐshì fèiyòng tài gāo.

   The plan is very good; it's just that the cost is too high.

2. adverb only; merely

   我只是问问，你别多想。

   Wǒ zhǐshì wènwen, nǐ bié duō xiǎng.

   I was only asking — don't read too much into it.
