1. verb to press down

2. verb to suppress; to keep down

   他压住火气，没有发作。

   Tā yāzhù huǒqì, méiyǒu fāzuò.

   He kept his temper in check and didn't blow up.

   Wǒ yàgēnr bù zhīdào zhè jiàn shì.
