1. adverb just; a moment ago

   他刚走，你来晚了一步。

   Tā gāng zǒu, nǐ lái wǎn le yī bù.

2. adjective hard; unyielding

   他性子刚，不肯低头。

   Tā xìngzi gāng, bù kěn dītóu.

   He has an unbending nature and refuses to bow.
