zài

  1. adverb again; once more (of future or not-yet-happened actions, opposite of 又)

    请再说一遍。

    Qǐng zài shuō yī biàn.

    Please say it again.

  2. adverb used in negative sentences: no longer, not any more

    我再也不去了。

    Wǒ zài yě bù qù le.

    I am never going again.

  3. adverb further; still more (of degree)

    你再努力一点就能成功。

    Nǐ zài nǔlì yīdiǎn jiù néng chénggōng.

    Work a bit harder and you can succeed.

  4. adverb then; only after some condition is met

    吃完饭再走。

    Chī wán fàn zài zǒu.

    Leave after you finish eating.

  5. adverb no matter how; even if to a high degree (often with 也 or 都不)

    你再解释,我也不听。

    Nǐ zài jiěshì, wǒ yě bù tīng.

    No matter how much you explain, I still won't listen.
