任凭

rènpíng

1. correlative conjunction no matter how; regardless of (often paired with 也 or 都)

   任凭你怎么劝，他也不听。

   Rènpíng nǐ zěnme quàn, tā yě bù tīng.

   No matter how you try to persuade him, he won't listen.

2. verb to allow; to let (someone do as they please)

   这件事任凭你做主。

   Zhè jiàn shì rènpíng nǐ zuòzhǔ.
